Modern
water equipment typically requires at least 2.0 bar pressure for
effective operation. Most water companies will only guarantee
1.0 bar at ground level.
Some
water companies are delivering good pressure for much of the time.
However seven day pressure test will show that pressure can fall
below an acceptable level at peak times.
Even
if the seven day test shows a good maintained pressure, the
water companies 1.0 bar guarantee will allow them to reduce pressure
at any time.
The
answer to the above question is that if you want to safeguard your
company against claims arising from plumbing equipment not working
because of poor water pressure, then you need to consider a boosted
pressurisation system on all projects.
